SOUTH LONDON ORIENTEERS offer you a TRAIL race with a difference. Several checkpoints define the courses which will be run over tracks and trails - the CHALLENGE arises from choosing the fastest route between them.
+ the added challenge of taking on members of the GB Orienteering Squad!

START TIMES: 10K: 11.00am 6K: 11.10am + 2K Mini Trail Challenge for juniors 10.45am

SOUTH LONDON ORIENTEERS AND WAYFARERS (SLOW) invite you to start the New Year with a challenge – a Trail Challenge. Several checkpoints define the courses, which will be run over tracks and trails on Wimbledon Common – your challenge arises from choosing the fastest route between the checkpoints.
For an added challenge – you can take on the GB Orienteering Squad – if you’re tough enough! Members of the GB Orienteering Squad will be competing in these races. This is your chance to prove you can beat them on running speed – or not!
ENTRIES: adults £4 in advance, £5 on the day; juniors half-price. Includes detailed map of the area, hire of an electronic 'finger' timer to record your arrival at checkpoints and to produce instant results showing your time between checkpoints. Entry limit 100 for each race. Please enter in advance by post, using the form below, by 24th December. Cheques payable to SLOW. Entries on the day accepted, subject to entry limit not being reached.
MINI TRAIL CHALLENGE: for boys or girls under 16 on 31 December 2005. Prizes for various age classes.
REGISTRATION: will be open from 10.00am. Please aim to be ready 10 minutes before your start. Your competition map with the marked checkpoints will be distributed during a race briefing ten minutes before each start.
PRIZES: Usual categories including women, juniors & veterans. In the 6km race only women, juniors and super-veterans are eligible for prizes. The more entries in advance we get, the more wine/beer/chocolates will be given away. Prize-giving at 12.30 pm.
