SOUTHERN EXPRESS, REIGATE PRIORY – SATURDAY 3rd April 2004

South London Orienteers and Wayfarers are pleased to welcome you to the third race in the Southern Express 2004 Series at Reigate Priory.


Directions to the event

Grid Reference: TQ 252501. Signposted off the western end of the Reigate one-way system (junction of A217 and A25)


Parking
It is currently planned that parking will be in the shoppers (pay and display) car park. There is a chance this may change to parking on the grass, watch out for signs on the day.


Entries
For pre-entries, please check your details on the start list and notify the entries secretary if there are any errors ( or telephone 01932 864347). The start list is on the Southern Express website (http://sloweb.org.uk/SE/index.htm). Limited entry on the day will also be available, but it is best to contact the entries secretary beforehand to reserve a map. Facilities
Toilets are in a building in the middle of the playing field area. No squash due to the location of the Start/Finish. We are not expecting any traders at the event.


Sport-Ident Equipment

All courses will use Sport-Ident electronic punching. Ensure that you clear your SI card at the clear station at the Start before you are called up. Control units should beep to register your visit. If this does not occur, you should use the pin punch that is attached to the stake. Pin punch the map and advise the results/download team of the problem.

Start, Finish & Assembly Area

The Assembly area will be by the Start and Finish, which will be adjacent at the edge of the woods on the far (south) side of the playing fields from the car park. The route from the car park will not be marked – look out for the large START banner. Dibber Hire and payment of any outstanding fees will also be at this point. If the weather is bad there will be a tent for kit deposit.

A punching start and finish will be used for all courses. After finishing download at the computer point, which will be close to the Finish. You must report to the Finish and download even if you do not complete the whole of the course.

All courses will close at 13.00hrs.

 

Control Description Sheets 

Separate control description sheets will be available in the start lanes for all courses.

 

Results
Results will be available on the SLOW website – sloweb.org.uk on the day after the event.
